I just checked the weather for the weekend and the early part of next week. Nashville: brace yourselves–for beautiful weather, that is! Sweet.

Speaking of sweet and the impending heat, I felt it necessary to introduce you Nashvillian folk to THE finest frozen treat evah. Some might call it a snow cone. Others a snowball. Me? I could care less. Just hook a girl up! To what, you ask?

Fleur de Lis Flavors: Nashville’s Home to New Orleans-Style Snowballs, that’s what. With flavors like: Black Cherry, Margarita, Sweet and Sour Cherry, Sweet and Sour Grape, Fuzzy Navel, Cajun Red Hot, Caramel, Mango, Banana, Wedding Cake, Strawberry, Cotton Candy, Tiger’s Blood, my favorite, Tamarind, and more, y’all. There are even sugar-free flavors. Sweet goodness for everyone!

If I were Oprah, I would buy all of you FDL snowballs and fly us in a plane (with John Travolta as our pilot) to Australia on my dime. If only. Sigh.

There are also toppings like ice cream and cinnamon, but I’ve never felt the need to better perfection.

Not feeling the snowball (you must be soul-less), then check out: frozen chocolate-covered bananas, chocolate-covered nuts and fruits, cinnamon vanilla roasted nuts, popcorn, organic chocolates. So, so good, people.

FDL Flavors is inside at the Nashville Farmer’s Market, a fact that never fails to bring a smile to my face. Everything there is back and better than ever after the 500-year flood.

Here are FDL’s hours of goodness:

Hours:
M-F 10:00am – 3:00pm
Sat 10:00am – 4:00pm
Sun 10:30am – 4:00pm

Here is sweet owner, Tanisha.

She is delightful, as are her boys, who, if you’re lucky, might be the ones ringing you up at the register. (Fingers crossed.) They take the whole bit very seriously. And why shouldn’t they? Snowballs are serious business!

By the by, be sure to ask about the frequent buyer punch card—-it’s punched with the fleur de lis symbol. Too cute!

We’ll be there tomorrow looking a little like this:

Aw, the hubs and his inevitable “brain freeze.” Will he ever learn?

Please don’t let possible brain freezes dissuade you. Simply proceed with caution.

It’s worth the sojourn. Promise.
