A few things:

1. Paula Deen was on “Top Chef: All-Stars” last night, inspiring some decidedly un-gluten-free, but no doubt delish, recipes.

2. Paula Deen happens to be the foodie crush of the hubs. Trying very hard not to feel threatened.

3. Apparently, “There is man law, and then there’s chef law.” (Carla, I love you! Hootie Hoo!)

4. No. 3 means Jersey Mike (not the shop of delectable ‘Mike’s Way’ subs), is a chef outlaw for ‘plagiarizing’ Richards’ chicken oyster dish.

5. It’s going to rain today in such a way that hearkens back to a little 500-year flood. In which case, the hubs is welcome to daydream about Paula Deen’s fried chicken instead of worrying about replacing dry wall–again.

6. My dear friend (and fellow glutenite) Amy porch-gifted me with a bag of Udi’s Gluten Free Granola. I never thought I’d eat granola again. (Sniff. Sniff.) Thanks, Amy!

7. The granola was actually really good, not in a ‘gluten free way,’ but in a generally good way. (Sniff. Sniff. Tear.)

8. Richard Blais won last night’s challenge (not with granola, but with some gluten–not bitter) !!! He also just had another baby (congrats, Richard!), and he’s just a hop, skip, and a jump away in Atlanta with his restaurant Flip Burger Boutique. Hubs, once we survive today’s rain showers, we should consider a trip to Hotlanta…

9. Carla’s still in it to win it!

10. Bravo TV exec Andy Cohen is becoming filthy rich for his being a reality television genius and the devil’s lackey for helping to create another“Real Housewives” of whatever, wherever. Andy, I oughta!!!

11. Sad to see the new, improved, emotionally evolved Dale go, but glad he’s come out of the bitter barn and found happiness.

12. I, on the other hand, have found some seriously good gluten free granola, which, in some form or fashion is a little corner of happiness all its own.
